In 2020, the XCCEL Corporation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was formed in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. XCCEL was dedicated to taking the vast array of technology, innovation, and expertise of individuals from the surrounding tech capital of the US, the Silicone Valley area, and widely disperse that knowledge into the surrounding rural and deprived communities. With the desire to give back to the founder's home state, XCCEL's programs migrated from the west to the east coast settling in Virginia area. In 2021, XCCEL launched its STEM programs through partnerships in Virginia's Region 5 area. XCCEL's goal to engage a wider network of STEM experts in its programs led to a collaboration of efforts in 2022 with the Quad22 Foundation based in Fredericksburg, VA. The Quad22 Foundation, 501(c)(3), organization was committed to the success of the youth through educational enrichment programs, mentoring and development, and providing community outreach. Quad22 Foundation leveraged corporate partnerships to aid in further development of leadership skills, technical skills, and life skills for the youth. In 2024, XCCEL and the Quad22 Foundation merged to form Quad22 XCCEL a technology focused STEM organization concentrating on learning skills, industry, and careers options surrounding software development "coding".
